Italy

Thanks to its beautiful architecture, historic cities, lavish furniture and amazing food and drink, Italy is a firm favourite with soon-to-weds. You can choose from ancient ruins in Rome, magnificent art in Florence, Venices famous canals or the castles and vineyards of Tuscany.
Planning a legal ceremony here can be a bit tricky - expect a ton of paperwork and more than a few conversations with the local mayor - but itll all be worth it when you get hitched in one of the most romantic places in Europe.

Its worth noting that religious ceremonies are not legally binding in France. So, if you want a religious ceremony, youll need to have your civil ceremony first.

Youll need to apply for a marriage licence first, then wait just 24 hours for it to process before you can say I do. So, realistically, you could get everything done in a long weekend - perfect!

Iceland

To get married here, youll need a marriage license application from the District Magistrate of Reykjavik. This must be mailed back and scheduled to arrive a fortnight before your wedding.
